It’s not the first time that Stephen Stanbro has basked in the glow of accolades, as a two-time winner of best burger in Erie as part of the Erie’s Choice Awards, and other local recognition.
But it is the most recent. The one-time food truck-turned-brick-and-mortar sandwich joint, now with two locations in the Erie region, has been named one of Pennsylvania’s 10 best “Hole-in-the-Wall” restaurants by multi-platform food media company Mashed.
“Yes, it’s a gas station, but who cares? I’d go to the DMV and wait in line to enjoy tacos like this,” said one Google reviewer, raving about Stanbro’s birria tacos…
