GREENSBORO, N.C. — For nearly three months, homeowner Sally Myers used her back door whenever it rained. The sidewalk leading to her front door had become so uneven and unsafe that even friends stopped visiting.
“Some friends wouldn’t come visit because they said it was too dangerous,” Myers said.
