Huntsville International Airport is among a bevy of airports feeling the effects of a Federal Aviation Administration emergency order issued last week directing staff reductions at 40 major airports across the country.
Because HVS is not one of the major hub airports, the effects are not nearly as severe, but passengers have seen delays and cancellations.
What passengers at HSV need to know
While HSV is not one of the 40 airports ordered to cut staff, the Federal Aviation Administration’s plan to slash airline capacity due to the government shutdown has hit some of the nation’s busiest airports, including in Atlanta, Dallas, New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles.
