On November 9, 2025, New Castle County police responded to a shooting in the Greenview at Chestnut Run community in Wilmington, Delaware. Officers arrived shortly after 10 p.m. A woman reported being shot in the hand and sought help from a bystander before going to a nearby business on Lancaster Pike. Emergency personnel provided first aid, and she was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
