The Fort Worth Fire Department (FWFD) is accepting applications for EMT trainees and paramedics until November 30, 2025. FWFD serves the Fort Worth metropolitan area, covering over 345 square miles and responding to more than 80,000 calls each year. The department employs more than 900 people.
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old. They need a high school diploma, GED, or at least 12 college semester hours. A valid Class C driver’s license is required. Candidates must pass a written test, physical exams, background checks, and interviews. New hires must live within 30 minutes of their assigned station within six months of starting work.
