Veterans’ Day Record Warmth

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Our forecast includes near record warmth this afternoon and again late this week.

Yesterday I mentioned here that the weather pattern overall will remain nearly unchanged through the work week. However, an eastward shift in the low pressure over the Eastern US and the high pressure over the Southwestern US will bring much warmer weather to West Texas and eastern New Mexico today and in the days ahead.

Under the increasing influence of the Southwestern ridge skies today generally will be sunny, winds somewhat breezy (west-southwesterly 10 to 20 mph), with well-above average temperatures for Veterans’ Day.
