A new traffic pattern began today on Bridge Boulevard in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. This is part of the Phase 2 Reconstruction Project. The changes affect the area between Isleta Boulevard and Young Avenue. Construction is now focused between Young Avenue and La Vega Drive. This phase includes new asphalt, sidewalks and ramps that meet ADA standards, bike lanes, updated traffic signals, and better lighting.
To build the new ramps, the outside right lane of eastbound Bridge Boulevard is closed. This affects areas with on-street parking. Crews are also installing cameras and right-turn arrows at intersections such as Isleta/Bridge and La Vega/Bridge.
