One arrested in investigation into shooting of off-duty OCC officer; police still searching for shooter

Syracuse, N.Y. – A scuffle at a Syracuse bar led to the weekend shooting of an off-duty Onondaga Community College officer, and one person has been charged in the incident, police said today.

The person arrested is not accused of shooting the officer outside of McAvan’s Pub on West Fayette Street, said Sgt. Tom Blake, a spokesperson for Syracuse police.
