Henderson councilwoman testifies against colleague accused of secretly recording her: ‘She jumped from behind the curtains’

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Henderson Councilwoman Monica Larson testified that fellow Councilwoman Carrie Cox hid behind a curtain and taped a private conversation during a city event in January, leading to a felony charge, according to documents 8 News Now obtained.

Last week, a Clark County grand jury voted to indict Henderson Councilwoman Carrie Cox on one charge of monitoring or attempting to monitor a private conversation. The indictment, announced last Wednesday, Nov. 5, followed a 10-month Metro police investigation.

Cox told police she denied illegally recording a private conversation among fellow Larson and two men on Jan. 9, even after she was shown an alleged recording of the act while sitting in the back of a Las Vegas police vehicle, documents said…
