Bangrak Market fire intentionally set, officials say

SEATTLE — A popular Thai restaurant in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood is vowing to rebuild after investigators confirmed that a weekend fire that tore through part of the business was intentionally set.

Seattle police say the blaze that broke out early Sunday, Nov. 2, at Bangrak Market in Belltown, is being investigated as an arson. Fire crews were called to the building around 4 a.m. and found flames coming from an outdoor dining area spreading quickly toward the restaurant’s main structure.

The fire was extinguished before it could cause major structural damage, but it left broken glass, boarded-up windows, and weeks of cleanup ahead for the family-run business…
