Victim of DC shooting identified as 17-year-old boy

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Homicide detectives in the District are working to learn what led up to a shooting in broad daylight that left a 17-year-old boy dead.

Minutes before 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, a shooting broke out in the 1900 block of C Street SE. Upon arrival, D.C. officers found Tristan Johnson, conscious and breathing, with a gunshot wound.

Medics took Johnson to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.
