RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is recovering from injuries from gunfire after attempting to burglarize a home in south Raleigh.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, officers were called to a shooting around midnight Wednesday on the 1600 block of Rose Lane.

Officers said there was some type of attempted entry resulting in a shooting, leaving the suspect with injuries not life-threatening. Officers said the man accused of the burglary was transported to a nearby hospital and has to get surgery for his injuries.
CBS 17 was at the scene where officers were securing the scene. Forensics were on hand to assist investigators.
