Florida man arrested in connection to CSAM case against Charleston County magistrate

BROWARD COUNTY, FL. (WCIV) — A Florida man has been arrested in connection to the child sexual abuse materials investigation into suspended Charleston County Magistrate Judge James Gosnell, according to court records.

56-year-old John Badger Thorpe was taken into custody in Broward County, Florida Sunday and charged with possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Court records reveal Thorpe to be the previously unnamed second defendant in the indictment unsealed against Gosnell on Oct. 21.
