Tennessee SNAP recipients to receive partial November benefits starting Wednesday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — Families in Tennessee will begin receiving partial SNAP food assistance for November, after guidance from the USDA, the state announced Wednesday.

The Tennessee Department of Human Services said it will issue 65 percent of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, starting Wednesday. Once the federal government reopens, TDHS will work with USDA to process the remaining payments.

The state says families originally scheduled to receive benefits between November 1st–12th will see partial payments starting Wednesday.

Those scheduled for later in the month can expect partial payments on their regular date…
