Two Dead After Car Crashes Off 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley, Causes Major Traffic Disruption

A tragic turn of events took place early Monday morning on the 60 Freeway in Jurupa Valley, resulting in two fatalities—a woman and her male passenger. According to NBC Los Angeles, a report came in at 4:50 a.m. of a serious accident on the eastbound side, just west of Country Village Road. The California Highway Patrol Officer Javier Navarro revealed that “the car hit and careened off the center divider,” ejecting the male passenger onto the freeway, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The aftermath of the collision found the vehicle, a black Honda sedan, had landed on or next to a box truck in a business parking lot at 3800 Wabash Drive. As reported by ABC7, the driver, identified only as a man, and a female passenger were both found deceased. The collision resulted in significant traffic disruption, with several lanes on the eastbound 60 Freeway closed for investigation and cleanup between Etiwanda Avenue and Country Village Road/Mission Boulevard, creating backups to the 15 Freeway as mentioned by CBS LA.
