Every November 11, the United States takes a moment to honor those who have served our country on Veterans Day.
Back in Erie, the community showed their support for local veterans during a ceremony at the Pennsylvania Soldiers’ and Sailors’ home on East 3rd Street.
“It’s an opportunity to thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice to our country, even long after they’ve taken their oath of enlistment,” said Ken Vybiral, Volunteer Resources Coordinator at the PA Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Home. “It’s been a proud tradition for many, many years now. The attendance seems to grow, and the community outreach seems to grow every year as well.”…
