Honor Rosa Parks’ Legacy with Free Admission to The Henry Ford on December 1

If you need something fun and FREE to do with the kids, the Henry Ford is offering FREE admission on Monday, December 1st to celebrate Rosa Parks.

On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Rosa Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger on a segregated bus. Her quiet act of defiance became a turning point in the Civil Rights Movement and inspired the Montgomery Bus Boycott—an event that changed the course of American history.

To commemorate this momentous anniversary, The Henry Ford will open its doors free of charge from 9:30am to 5pm, inviting guests to reflect, learn, and be inspired. Visitors can step aboard the very bus where Mrs. Parks made history and explore exhibits that share stories of ordinary people who made an extraordinary difference…
