USPS employee found dead inside mail machine: Report

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Federal officials are investigating after a U.S. Postal Service employee died over the weekend at its distribution center in Allen Park, Michigan.

The man, a maintenance worker in his 30s, died Saturday after reportedly being stuck inside a mail handling machine for several hours at the USPS Detroit Network Distribution Center, WDIV-TV, the NBC affiliate in Detroit, reports.

WDIV reported that the man’s fiancée notified authorities after he failed to return home after his shift. His body was found stuck inside the machine; he had been dead six to eight hours before authorities arrived.
