GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Until Dec. 31, Mel Trotter Ministries‘ annual Code Blue Drive is open for winter item donations to benefit the unhoused population in and around Grand Rapids.
“It’s a way for the community to get involved and help people who are going through a difficult time in a really tangible way,” Chris Palusky, CEO of Mel Trotter Ministries, said.

Over a dozen drop-off locations are now open around Grand Rapids. Requested donation items include coats, hand warmers, scarves, winter boots and more.
“Right now, our biggest need is actually for socks and new underwear,” Palusky said.
