Joshua Deshane Cook, 38, of Mableton, is accused of attacking a man with a knife on Oct. 26 at 5:35 p.m. at The Village at Mableton shopping center, 5590 Mableton Parkway in Mableton, according to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.
The victim was standing on the sidewalk of the Michael’s and the Planet Fitness in the shopping center making a Facebook live video with his laptop. The victim stated he looked down the sidewalk and observed Cook approaching him with a Ka-Bar style fixed blade, approximately 10 inches long, in his right hand, according to the warrant.
The victim said Cook lunged at him with the knife and spit on the laptop. The victim was able to show police the video of Cook lunging at him. A witness said a woman entered the Michael’s and stated there was a man yelling on the sidewalk with a knife swinging the weapon toward people, according to the warrant…
