In Naples, the low fell to 45 degrees, beating the old record of 47 degrees set back in 1993. For Punta Gorda, the low dropped to 39 degrees, beating the old record of 44 degrees set back in 1943.
For Fort Myers, the low fell to 42 degrees. This was in near-record territory, but it did not quite break the record of 41 degrees set back in 1956. Be sure to bundle up and stay warm as we are in store for another chilly night Tuesday. While record lows are not expected again, temperatures will still run well below average in the mid-40s.
Gradual warming will slowly begin Wednesday, but below-normal temperatures are expected until the weekend.
