5. American Sand Sculpting Championship
The 35th-annual event brings top-tier sand-sculpting artists to the beach from around the United States and the world. Together, they turn Fort Myers Beach’s sand into giant sculptures of people, cities, octopuses or anything else they can imagine. The event also features amateur contests, a vendor village, live music, food stands and more. Thursday through Monday, Nov. 20-24. $5. 3. Head to holiday market in Estero
The Naples Festival of Trees & Christmas Market features holiday décor, shopping, and family fun. 2-8 p.m. Nov. 15, at Salvation Army Campus, 3180 Estey Ave., Estero.
2. Free concert at Cambier Park in Naples
The 19-member Gulf Coast Big Band will perform their first concert of the season at Cambier Park, 755 Eighth Ave. S., starting at 2 p.m. They will be playing cool jazz favorites that visit the “Rocky” movies, the “Savoy” and the “A Train”, accompanied by Southwest Florida songstress Kelly Clinger and directed by Dr. Ryan Chapman.
