The driver of a Mercedes was arrested on a felony drug charge in Wildwood.
Giovanni Perez, 25, of Summerfield, was at the wheel of a white 2013 Mercedes at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday on Main Street when an officer noticed that one of the vehicle’s headlights was not functioning, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
During a traffic stop, a partial marijuana cigar was spotted in the vehicle’s ashtray. It appeared the Perez had tried to conceal a black fanny pack under the driver’s seat.
An officer retrieved the fanny pack and found that it contained a small amount of marijuana, a grinder and six pills. Perez tried to claim a friend left the fanny pack in the Mercedes. The pills tested positive for methamphetamine…
