Some patented and fog-proof readers from Richmond-based brand Showerspecs just made Oprah’s “Favorite Things” list for 2025.
Why it matters: Oprah loves us (probably).
State of play: Richmonders Donna Spurrier and Meredith Herrera created Showerspecs, which are reading glasses designed to be used in the bath, shower, sauna — or anywhere else one might be getting steamy and squinting at small print.
- The mother-daughter team launched the specs in 2021, but got an early Christmas surprise this year when their invention landed on Oprah’s Favorite Things 2025 list last week.
