NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KABB) — A San Antonio woman, Brandy Marie Doster, 54, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Oct. 6 after pleading guilty to felony charges related to the abuse and death of a disabled person under her care.
Doster pled guilty to injury to a disabled individual – causing serious bodily injury, resulting in the 25-year sentence. She also received a concurrent 10-year sentence after pleading guilty to Injury to a disabled individual – causing bodily injury.
The Discovery and Investigation
The case began on May 21, 2023, when New Braunfels Police received a 911 call reporting a suspicious death. The victim’s body was discovered wrapped in an emergency blanket in the backseat of a vehicle parked in a garage.
The Caller: The caller was Doster’s estranged daughter, who said her mother had arrived at her San Antonio home “hysterical and incoherent,” claiming she had been in an accident and that the victim was merely “sleeping” in the car…
