BOISE, ID – A tragic crash in Boise Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a young girl, Boise Police confirmed in an update late Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to the intersection of N. Harrison Boulevard and W. Ada Street at approximately 4:42 p.m. after a vehicle collided with a pedestrian. Ada County Paramedics transported the girl to a local hospital, where she later died. Officials said the Ada County Coroner’s Office will release her identity at a later time.
A preliminary investigation indicates the driver of a pickup truck was traveling west on Ada Street and stopped at a stop sign at Harrison Boulevard. The pedestrian had stopped on the northeast sidewalk, and traffic was backed up on Harrison.
