2 arrested after fleeing police across state border, reaching 150 mph on I-25

DENVER (KDVR) — Two people are behind bars after they fled from police, speeding up to 150 mph on Interstate 25, near the Colorado-Wyoming border.

According to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted a traffic stop on a car speeding on I-25 near Wellington on Nov. 10 just before midnight. However, the driver did not stop and continued north into Wyoming, then returned to Colorado.

Eventually, the driver exited the interstate in Carr, then turned off the car’s headlights. For the next 45 minutes, deputies spotted and then lost sight of the vehicle several times as the driver continued to drive recklessly at high speeds.

At about 12:45 a.m., the vehicle was found by a deputy parked near County Road 15 and County Road 116. The only person inside was a female passenger, the sheriff’s office said, and the woman refused to share information about the driver…
