Police have arrested and charged a 36-year-old man for a weekend robbery that ended up turning violent Sunday morning. On Monday afternoon, Sioux Falls Police Spokesman Sgt. Aaron Benson said Samuel Turner III faces charges of robbery, simple assault, failure to vacate and obstructing.

As part of Veterans Day, the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs will host a special ceremony to honor six World War II veterans who paid the ultimate price while serving their country. One of the veterans being honored is Private Marvin Gunderson of Parker, who will have a bridge named in his honor, just north of his hometown.
