Fatal shooting in Tacoma might have been self-defense, prosecutors say

A person arrested in a fatal shooting from Sunday in Tacoma will be released from jail pending further investigation, according to the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The 39-year-old was arrested by police Monday for the shooting that left a man dead in the 5100 block of South 58th Street. The person was booked into the Pierce County Jail at about 7:03 a.m., according to jail records.
