Suspect in Jonnaven Monalim murder arrested: HPD

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of 55-year-old Jonnaven Monalim, the government informant who was found dead in Waipiʻo, the Honolulu Police Department said.

Monalim was first reported missing on Nov. 5, and was found dead seven hours after the report.

On Nov. 11, HPD detectives obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect from the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Police executed the warrant on Nov. 12 at 8 a.m., when authorities found the suspect in Waipahu and arrested him for murder.
