NC Helene grants will cover infrastructure repairs in Biltmore Village, other communities

North Carolina is awarding $13.8 million to counties and communities to help rebuild critical business infrastructure after Helene, part of a state-funded program aimed at revitalizing commercial districts in the west.

The new round of funding will pay for 19 projects across the region, including three emergency projects. That includes restoring utilities like water, sewer and gas, as well as repairing roads, buildings and sidewalks…
