17-year-old girl who died after northeast Bakersfield crash identified: coroner

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office identified the 17-year-old girl who died after a crash in northeast Bakersfield in October.

Mirian Stephanie Ramirez Masin, 17, of Bakersfield was one of three passengers in a 2020 white Toyota Camry on eastbound Alfred Harrell Highway, east of Fairfax Road, Oct. 19, according to officials. All three passengers were 17-year-old girls.

The 18-year-old male driver lost control of the Toyota, according to the California Highway Patrol. The vehicle veered to the westbound lane and rolled down an embankment at 7:55 p.m.
