BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — While the Veterans Day Parade was in honor of Kern County heroes, organizers took a moment to honor 17’s own Jim Scott, who has served as the parade’s emcee for decades.
“You will always have the appreciation of the Veterans of Kern County for your selfless efforts as our announcer,” said the award presenting Veteran. “Thank you from the American Legion Post 26 and the Veterans community of Kern County. Fair winds and following seas, sir. November 11th, 2025.”
