Baltimore Men Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Burglary in Frederick

Two men from Baltimore were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary in Frederick. According to WMAR-2 News, the incident, which occurred on Sunday around 8:13 p.m., involved 26-year-old Damien Tubois Gentry and 34-year-old Gerald Antoine Cooper.

The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) stated that deputies arrived on the scene after receiving reports of two suspicious individuals on the property in the 7000 block of Ridge Road, where they found two masked men wearing dark clothing and gloves near the front door of a residence. The suspects fled into a wooded area when approached, leading to a subsequent search using drones, a police helicopter, and assistance from residents. A neighbor had reported property damage caused by the suspects traversing their yard, leading to their apprehension.

Gentry and Cooper face multiple charges, including third and fourth-degree burglary. Sheriff Chuck Jenkins lauded the deputies’ quick action, stating in a press release reported by Fox Baltimore, “Our deputies quickly recognized that a potential burglary was unfolding.
