HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Hamilton County official says he wants to implement a new property tax freeze for senior taxpayers.
Commissioner David Sharpe says he has heard concerns from some seniors in his district about the rise in property values.
He says many seniors are on a fixed income that cannot keep up with inflation.
Sharpe says there is a tax freeze in place, but it has limits and does not meet the needs of the community…
