Trial set for Salem man accused in 2015 murder of Nancy Eldridge

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — A Salem man is set to stand trial next week in Muscogee County Superior Court, nearly a decade after the killing of Nancy Renee Eldridge of Columbus.

Stacey Gray, 55, faces murder and kidnapping charges in the 2015 case, which has taken an unusual legal journey across two states.

District Attorney Don Kelly told WRBL News 3 that the case began as a missing persons investigation in Georgia on July 4, 2015.

Three days later, Eldridge’s body was discovered in a creek in Valley, Alabama. Gray was soon arrested and charged with murder in Chambers County…
