MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded Wednesday to a lawsuit they called “stunning” and “reckless,” and is demanding an apology.
The sheriff’s office said Sheriff Floyd Bonner and Chief Jailer Kirk Fields are wrongfully named, and they are demanding an apology and immediate dismissal from the suit.
