Mobile City Council again postpones vote on anti-blight proposal

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Mobile City Council on Wednesday again postponed a vote on a proposal to require owners of vacant commercial buildings downtown to register their properties and pay an annual fee.

The fees would vary, and owners would have to comply with new regulations to secure the buildings and install fire monitoring devices.
