Ex-Horry County police officer, spokesperson plan lawsuits after resignations

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Days after five Horry County officials resigned following an internal investigation into reported sexual relationships, a former spokesperson and officer plan to sue.

Four Horry County police officers — Sgt. Torry Lewis, Det. Don Kobithen, Investigator Kelsey Manemeit and Lt. Misty Gore — resigned on Nov. 6, as well as the director of public information, Mikayla Moskov, as a result of an internal investigation.

Attorney Jonny McCoy said in a news release that Manemeit and Moskov are retaining him for lawsuits against the Horry County Police Department, former Horry County Deputy Administrator Randy Webster and others…
