Amarillo Parks and Recreation Board recommends closing 2 city pools

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The city’s Park and Recreation Board voted to recommend the closure of two city pools due to deterioration and safety concerns.

The board recommended closing Southwest and Southeast pools, which have served the community since the late 1970s. The recommendation will go to the City Council for a final decision.
