On November 16, 2025, the City of Madison will mark the World Day of Remembrance for road traffic victims. The city will unveil a memorial at Olbrich Park, near Atwood Avenue and Walter Street. The memorial will honor the 67 people who died in traffic incidents in Madison over the past five years.
At a press conference, Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway said the city is committed to safety. She stated that any loss of life is unacceptable.
