New Orleans budget woes could shrink public workforce

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – With 61 days until she’s sworn in as New Orleans’ next mayor, Helena Moreno is already getting hands-on leadership experience tackling the city’s ongoing budget crisis as an at-large councilmember.

As mayor-elect, Moreno has said that “anything is on the table” when it comes to cutting funding to make the city financially sound — including shrinking the city’s workforce.
