ST. LOUIS — An 11-year-old girl was struck by a car and injured in St. Louis on Monday morning.
St. Louis police said the girl was struck at around 7:50 a.m. on the 5200 block of Fyler, near Gateway Science Academy of St. Louis. Police said the driver who struck the girl remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The driver told police they were driving east on Fyler when the 11-year-old girl ran out from behind a parked car and tried to cross the street. The driver said they swerved to try to avoid hitting the girl, but were unsuccessful…
