Caregivers strike for better pay and benefits in Rockford

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Workers at Mosaic, a Rockford non-profit organization, have gone on strike demanding better pay and benefits.

Mosaic supports individuals with disabilities and medical issues, providing services ranging from housing to health care. A new state law that took effect in January granted employees a 25-cent raise, but Mosaic workers claim they did not receive this increase for months and only did so after contacting state lawmakers.
