Nixa City Council to vote on funding a traffic study for a potential road expansion to State Highway 160

NIXA, Mo. (KY3) – The Nixa City Council will vote on Wednesday on reallocating $15,000 for a traffic study that could lead to connecting Pembrook Avenue to State Highway 160.

The proposed connection would create an east-to-west route to the highway and potentially open 190 acres for mixed-use development. Pembrook Avenue currently ends about a quarter-mile west of State Highway 160. The Ozarks Transportation Organization says the connection would provide a critical link to the highway and improve traffic flow for years to come.
