WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – HumanKind Ministries’ Operation Holiday on Wednesday received thousands of pounds of food for people in need this Christmas.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated 36,000 pounds of non-perishable food items. Those donations included peanut butter, cake mixes, rice, beans, and spaghetti.
“It’s important for our members to follow the examples of Jesus Christ, and so we look for opportunities to help those in need and serve those in our community,” said Laura McIntyre, communications director for the Wichita-area Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
