WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – As the funding of SNAP benefits continues to be uncertain across the country, it’s creating new concerns for pet owners. Although SNAP does not extend to pet food, the money pinch can sometimes be enough to wonder where an animal’s next meal will come from.
Wichita Animal Action League has seen a 50% increase in requests for dog and cat food in the past week.
