Plea deal: Kan. man killed victim during fight in SUV

SEDGWICK COUNTY —A man charged in a deadly shooting in Wichita attended a plea hearing on Monday.

James Standefer, 37, pled guilty to murder in the 2nd degree (reckless), for the death of 43-year-old Jesse Dean Rau, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s office.

Law enforcement investigating one of several weekend homicides in Wichita have made an arrest after a standoff.
