Local SNAP recipients shop for groceries on reduced benefits

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — SNAP recipients in South Dakota rushed to the grocery store Wednesday to spend the benefits many of them thought they wouldn’t see during the government shutdown.

The shoppers are much more selective this month because they’re only receiving partial benefits. Yet they’re still grateful that some of the SNAP uncertainty now has a little more clarity.
