In the face of “significant enrollment and financial challenges,” the Amphitheater Public Schools district is preparing to identify up to five elementary schools it may close ahead of the 2026-27 school year.
Superintendent Todd Jaeger, JD, intends to inform Amphi families and staff of the recommended closures by email the evening of Tuesday, Nov. 18, according to Michelle Valenzuela, the district’s director of communications.
